Duration/Length: Approximately 4 1⁄2 hours / 10 km or 6 miles

Level of difficulty: Moderate to difficult, including a lot of steps and rugged terrain (good level of fitness is required – can be amended upon request to accommodate less fit guests)

This is a 6-mile-long moderate/partly strenuous hike designed to present the famous and secret spots, as well as the breathtaking scenery & centuries old stories of the oldest and most impressive path of the island. A beautiful day, exploring and enjoying the true wonder of nature that Santorini is! It normally takes approximately 3 1/2 hours to complete it. This allows for a comfortable pace, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful hike as well as our stories.

It is considered to be a moderate/demanding hike with a lot of steps, and the biggest part of it is on paved or cobblestone surfaces. It does get rugged at some point, there is a downhill stretch that is gravel, and there is a few hundred meters of dirt road too.

This hike has been enjoyed by people as young as 8, and as old as 85 years old. We do make a few stops in order to discuss interesting facts of Santorini and Greece, but also in order to take in the views and enjoy the amazing surroundings. So far, it has only occasionally been described as demanding (as it has three elevation gains and losses) and we always suggest that guests should have a good level of fitness and no recent surgeries/injuries in order to fully enjoy it.
